Job Summary
Job title: AVP - IFRS17
In this role you will:
- Should be having understanding of concepts of IFRS 9 IFRS17 reporting Accounting Cashflows disclosures
- Should be a subject matter expert on preparation of Entity Financial Control Activities Ledger Close Cost Analysis SARACEN Primary and Supplementary Financials Analytical Reviews Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Substantiation
- Should have in-depth knowledge around preparation and review of the schedules and financial results for Insurance entity
- Should be able to comprehend and implement the controls and procedures in regard to Financial Control processes
- Having good understanding on related control environment (SOX as well as Non SOX) and making sure accounting and reporting process works as per design
- Should be able to provide guidance to insurance operations and product development team in regard to procedures and their implications. Should have good perspective of system changes and its implications
- Should be capable of picking new projects/assignments / process : Identify Drive Build & operate it as BAU
- Should be good in Excel / MS Access
- Identify opportunities for process re-engineering / improvement and drive changes independently
To be successful you will:
- Qualified CA / CWA/ MBA Finance with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience in accounting
- Past experience of working in insurance companies consultancy or organization of repute will be an advantage.
- Ability to bring analytical rigour structure and solution to problematic areas.
- Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
- Is expected to have strong technical understanding of accounting principles and demonstrated competence in their application.
- Ability in Business Reporting and Analysis
- Provide strategic direction and manage Business Partner relationships.
- Stretch Hours at month end is normal practice candidate should be flexible to work in any time zone should have handled large database and have proficiency in excel.
