Job Summary

Sr Python Developer (SME)

Location: Malvern PA or Charlotte NC (onsite day 1 for hybrid model) - 3 days onsite (Tuesday Wednesday Thursday)
Length: 1 year (likely to be extended multiple years)

Need an expert level Staff Programmer. PA or NC. Python and typescript and AWS gen AI are keys but just need someone that is heavy programmer deliver strategic initiatives business problems strong comm. Financial industry. exp. would be huge

Responsibilities

You will be joining a small team of experts looking to push forward strategic initiatives in data and analytics within Vanguards investment systems and data IT subdivision. You will be responsible for delivery of expertly crafted solutions and close partnership with varying stakeholders.

Qualifications

Expert programmer in multiple languages (Python Typescript) with ability to quickly learn new programming languages (e.g. Golang).
Deep knowledge of programming patterns algorithms and common paradigms and ability to put this knowledge to use through GenAI coding agents.
Demonstrated track record of delivering high quality solutions using AWS services. Knowledge of RAG-based GenAI solutions graph databases ontology frameworks (e.g. RDS) and understanding of the institutional investment/financial services industry are a big plus.
