Job Summary
Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time
Manager of Warehouse Night Operations. The responsibility is to plan direct and administer all
warehouse operations. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibility:
Overseeing the storage pallet operation receiving cross-dock shipping and all other general
operations of the warehouse while providing timely output of all merchandise
Maintaining proper staffing levels to achieve 100% asset integrity on all shipments
Addressing all product related issues impeding operations
Monitoring safety & loss prevention practices ensuring policies adherence
Reviewing equipment needs to enhance productivity while evaluating cost effectiveness
Reviewing changes in distribution philosophies to increase operational efficiencies and striving for
continuous improvement while planning strategically for the future of the business
Other duties as assigned
Salary: $80000 to $8600
Hours of Operation:5:30 am until close (around 2:30pm)
Qualifications
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment
Ability to work in cold environment
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
2 years of experience in a distribution environment
Proficient in fundamentals of distribution management
Excellent communication skills
Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish)
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word Excel Outlook)
Strong warehousing distribution and transportation knowledge is necessary
