We are looking for aJan Aid Crew Leader who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.

Schedule: 2pm-10pm with some flexibilityWhat you will be doing

The Jan-Aid Crew Leader is responsible for being a lead worker managing a crew cleaning coaching training documenting and transporting the crew to various sites to load and unload vans. This is a working position which requires the ability to clean and has the ability to work well with clients and customers. Additionally paperwork and computer skills are required to assure workers receive fair wages. Reporting on client progress/behaviors is required nightly at the end of each shift. The Jan-Aid program facilitates services for individualsfrom diverse backgrounds embraces differences in individuals and promotes a positive attitude with peers and community members.

Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Train and supervise people with disabilities in janitorial cleaning skills
2. Maintain assigned buildings to levels specified on task sheet by inspecting work to assure quality
3. Perform work tasks parallel with crew to provide a role model
4. Enforce safety security and other rules regulations and procedures at assigned worksites
5. Know work related aspects of clients training and employ-ment plans
6. Report and document client progress to casemanager.
7. Report incident of client misconduct or violations of work rules to casemanager or manager
8. Respond to customer concerns from inspections surveys and communication log
9. Perform all paperwork duties as assigned
10. Perform electronic client payroll
11. Perform electronic punch-in/out for attendance
12. Keep updated in First Aid CPR and CPI and OIG Rule50
13. Fill out equipment repair sheets.
14. Keep manager informed of status of worksites.
15. Maintain a cooperative working relationship with customer and staff at assigned worksites.
16. May need to cover other runs in absence of supervisor (primary job as sub)
17. Attend Jan-Aid cleaning in-services and scheduled meetings

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table

Education: High school or equivalent

Experience:One year in the cleaning industry and/or experience working with individuals with diverse disabilities - required

Requirements:

  • Must attend and complete in-service trainings as required
  • Must acquire and maintain CPR First Aid Non-violent interventionCertifications OIG-Rule 50 training
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as extra work hours maybe necessary as cleaning demands increase
  • Flexibility to work various evenings or days.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication andInterpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of all assigned job site tasks
  • Must meet all time deadlines at designated worksites.
  • Must have a valid Il. DL

Physical:

  • Ability to lift equipment and garbage up to 50 pounds
  • May require significant walking standing and bending

  • Equipment knowledge to meet essential job duties

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Illinois drivers license
  • Position may require employees use of personal automobile
  • Must have the minimal amount of liability on personalAutomobile insurance as defined by the AID employees handbook.
  • Position requires staff to transport clients to job sites and home at shifts end.
  • Utilize Paycom to clock in and out.
  • Learn Relias to complete classes.
  • Demonstrate effective and written oral communication skills.
  • Complete job requirements with minimal supervision.
