Position Summary

Circle K is seeking an experiencedSenior Litigation Counselto join the U.S. Legal Team reporting to the Director of Litigation Global. This role will play a critical part indefending and evaluating personal injury and general liability claims overseeing ADA Title III matters and managing a broad portfolio of U.S. litigation.

The ideal candidate thrives in afastpacedhighvolumeenvironment brings strong litigation and claims judgment and enjoys close partnership with Risk Management Operations Facilities Environmental and Finance teams.This role will play a critical part in defending and evaluating general liability claims overseeing ADA Title III matters and managing a broad portfolio of U.S. corporatelitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Injury & General Liability Defense (Primary Focus)

• Lead thedefense evaluation and resolution of personal injury and general liability claims including early case assessment liability analysis exposure evaluation and settlement strategy.

• Partner closely withRisk Management insurance stakeholders and business teamsto assess factual liability damages litigation risk and resolution pathways.

• Manage outside defense counsel on personal injury matters including case strategy budgets reserves reporting and performance oversight.

• Review incident reports conduct interviews analyze medical records and damages and support informed litigation and settlement decisions.

Corporate Litigation Management

• Independently manage a portfolio of U.S. corporate litigation matters fromprelitigationthrough resolution.

• Support the Director of Litigation Global on complexhighrisk or material litigation matters.

• Oversee and coordinate outside panel counsel to ensure effectivecostconsciousrepresentation aligned with businessobjectives.

• Summarize litigation risks matter status and outcomes for legal leadership and business stakeholders.

ADA Title III Oversight

• Manage intake and oversight of ADA Title III matters including indemnification analysis and coordination with internal stakeholders.

• Work with Facilities Operations and Risk teams to coordinate site inspections remediation efforts and settlement compliance.

• Liaise with outside counsel to negotiate settlement agreements andmonitorremediation and compliance deadlines.

Risk Reduction &CrossFunctionalSupport

• Collaborate with Environmental Facilities Wholesale Operations and Risk teams to reduce litigation exposure and support proactive risk mitigation.

• Support environmental disputes access agreements site closures andremediationrelatedlitigation efforts.

• Assistin developing and delivering training or guidance related to litigation risk claims trends and compliance best practices.

Discovery Investigations & Matter Management

• Support discovery obligations subpoenas investigations andprelitigationmatters.

• Work closely with litigation support andediscoveryteams; experience with Relativity or similar platforms is a plus.

• Draftaffidavits correspondence settlement documents and internal summaries as needed.

• Maintainaccuratematter tracking reporting and documentation.

Asset Recovery & Collections

• Partner with Wholesale Accounting and Risk Management teams toidentifyassets for recovery.

• Draft demand letters and settlement documentation including releases notes and letter agreements.

• Participate in collectability analysis and ongoing matter tracking with outside counsel.

• Monitor settlement payments enforce agreements and provide updates for internal reporting.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S.jurisdiction; in good standing.

• 3 - 7years of litigation experience preferably includingpersonal injury or general liability defense within an insurance defense firm orinhouselegal environment.

• Experience managing outside counsel andlitigationmatters from intake through resolution.

• Strong judgment organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization and influence outcomes without direct authority.

• Excellent communication prioritization and project management skills.

• Demonstrated integrity discretion and commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience evaluating and defendingpersonal injury claimsin ahighvolumeor enterprise setting.

• Experience handlingADA Title III matters.

• Inhouselitigation or insurance claims experience.

• Familiarity with environmental premises liability orregulatoryrelatedlitigation.

• Experience with Relativity or other eDiscovery platforms.
