The Fowler School of Engineering is seeking undergraduate students to assist with the Manufacturing Biology: Fundamentals of Bioprinting workshop for high school students as part of the Summer Engineering Academy. Student assistant will support instruction help students with workshop tasks and assist with setup and teardown.
Responsibilities
Attend and support the full Manufacturing Biology: Fundamentals of Bioprinting workshops on 6/15/26 and 6/16/26 (8:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.) Attend and support the Manufacturing Biology: Fundamentals of Bioprinting trial run on 5/21/26 Help prepare the learning environment and set up equipment prior to the session Assist high school participants with Manufacturing Biology: Fundamentals of Bioprinting tasks and projects Ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants Work closely with Dr. Andrew Lyon and follow instructor as needed Participate in workshop preparations Attend debrief meetings Complete the Protecting Minors from Sexual Misconduct Training prior to the workshop.
Required Qualifications
Availability for the full workshops on 6/15/26 and 6/16/26 Strong interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to work with high school students in a hands-on learning environment Complete the Protecting Minors from Sexual Misconduct Training prior to the workshop.
