The Temporary Evening Event & Program Assistant serves as the primary on-site university representative during evening hours throughout the summer conference and camps season. This role is responsible for supporting a wide range of campus programs by ensuring smooth operations policy compliance and a high-quality guest experience.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Serve as the primary on-site university representative during evening hours Provide supervision for programs involving minors ensuring adherence to university policies and approved program structures. Coordinate with campus partners (Public Safety Facilities Custodial AV) Provide event support for various programs throughout campus. Assist with participant check-in/out wayfinding room access coordination and general event logistics. Support policy compliance and risk management protocols with contract-related documentation and coordination as needed. Assist with event setup transitions and breakdown as needed. Manage evening check-ins guest services and program support Serve as a point of contact for conference organizers and participants helping to resolve issues in real time and enhance the overall guest experience. Maintain clear communication and documentation of evening activities
Required Qualifications
Experience in staffing events or customer service experience. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to interact professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment particularly in evening and after-hours situations. Evening and weekend availability required. Position requires walking across campus light lifting and active on-site engagement throughout the shift. Must be reliable responsive and detail-oriented.
