Job Summary
Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Location: New York NY
Type: Direct Hire (Permanent)
Schedule: Monday Friday (5 Days/Week) 35 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will oversee chemistry laboratory operations ensuring accurate diagnostic testing compliance with standards and effective workflow management within the Pathology Department.
Qualifications:
Licensed/Qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) Required
Bachelors Degree in Biology Chemistry Medical Technology or Physical Sciences Required
OR 5 years equivalent lab experience with supervisory responsibilities
Minimum 4 years laboratory experience Required
Minimum 2 years experience overseeing lab operations Required
3 years supervisory/leadership experience Preferred
Strong experience in chemistry laboratory operations Required
Hospital or acute care lab experience Preferred
Responsibilities:
Perform and supervise clinical laboratory testing and diagnostics
Oversee daily chemistry lab operations and workflow
Ensure compliance with safety regulatory and quality standards
Maintain accuracy and quality control of lab results
Supervise and support laboratory staff
Monitor equipment supplies and lab processes
Conduct staff training and performance oversight
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
