The Helen F Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute (HFGCCRI) is seeking an Inpatient Oncologist.

Clinical Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting physical examinations and analyzing a patients medical history studying blood samples and identifying white and red blood cell abnormalities and analyzing patient historical data and using data to make informed decisions.
• Study lab tests CAT scans and MRIs for more accurate diagnosis.
• Testing and diagnosing patients.
• Performing bone marrow aspirations for the detection of blood disorders.
• Analyzing blood samples and identifying white or red blood cell abnormalities.
• Treating diseases such as anemia hemophilia leukemia.
• Administering chemotherapy for the treatment of lymphoma or leukemia.
• Treating blood-clotting disorders.
• Consulting with other medical professionals in difficult cases.
• Interpret and diagnosis morphologic findings on bone marrow biopsy specimens. Document pathologic findings.
• Support Department of Medicine in any audit/review of documentation.
• Contributes effectively to other inter-disciplinary team activities such as peer review sessions and other education and quality activities.
• Adhere to all American Board of Internal Medicine and Hematology criteria for knowledge guidelines interpretation of guidelines and execution of guidelines.
• Develops and monitors a personal continuing education strategy

• We are the only institution in the state the provides Gynecologic Oncology services to woman in the state who are diagnosed with gynecologic cancers.
• HFGCCRI offers the only Bone Marrow Transplant and CAR T Cell service in Delaware so patients do not need to leave the state for care.
