Job Summary
The Membership Assistant Summer Intern will provide administrative and customer service support to the Membership team assisting with day-to-day operations that sustain and strengthen member engagement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual interested in nonprofit operations fundraising or arts and cultural organizations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in membership services donor communications and nonprofit administration.
- Assist the Membership team with phone calls emails and written correspondence to current and prospective members
- Support membership mailings including preparation assembly and tracking of materials
- Provide administrative support related to membership renewals updates and records
- Help maintain accurate member data and assist with basic database clean-up or updates under staff supervision
- Respond to routine member inquiries or route questions appropriately
- Support general office and administrative tasks for the Membership team as needed
- Assist with special projects or seasonal initiatives related to membership and advancement activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and friendly phone manner Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with basic office technology (email spreadsheets document preparation)
- Interest in nonprofit organizations fundraising membership programs or customer service
