Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Unit

Position Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical unit. This role involves providing direct patient care for a variety of medical conditions performing assessments and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver quality care. The RN will ensure patients receive the best possible care while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care for individuals with diverse medical conditions in the Med-Surg unit.
- Perform nursing assessments develop care plans and administer treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress document outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans procedures and health management.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic system.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Day shift 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM).
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
- On-Call: Not required.
- Floating: Yes position may require floating between units.
- Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 5 patients.
Qualifications:
- Must have Epic experience (hardstop requirement).
- 1 year of Medical-Surgical RN experience required (first-time travelers welcome).
- 48-hour work weeks are approved for this position.
