ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer

Job Description

This role will join the ServiceNow Platform team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in ServiceNow development and platform service management practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements design solutions and implement enhancements to our ServiceNow instances ensuring seamless integration with systems and business processes. You will also be willing to teach Jr Developers and assist them when bumping into technical issues.

What You Will Do:

• Perform day to day support administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform including mid-servers and integration points

• Work and communicate directly with end users or vendors

• Review and provide ample feedback on documented business requirements to be able to fulfill acceptance criterias

• Develop clear and concise technical and process documentations

• Assist other Ecolab internal and external to the platform team with technical issues or solutions for requirements

• Manage the release process including doing the deployment of items and following with the Ecolab Change Management process

• Develop install and troubleshoot ServiceNow applications with possible integration with other programs

• Troubleshoot bugs fix defects support users and build enhancements for applications built in the platform

• Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality is being met with regard to coding standards integration extensibility and security.

• Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on ServiceNow system software.

• Ensure that the application and enhancements behave as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process.
