Job Summary

Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps Americas boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our countrysbiggest problems from education to the economy broken communities and toxic division among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding thought leadership a network of peers and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

This role will support several Stand Together entities primarilyStand Together Trust as well as Charles Koch Foundationand Stand Together VenturesLab. These organizations deploy philanthropic and venture investments to back social entrepreneurs research andmarket basedcompanies that remove barriers to opportunity and scalebottomupsolutions across education future of work healthconstitutionally-limitedgovernment and economic mobility. Through thesepartnerships and investments Stand Togetheramplifiesscalable bottom-up solutions that drive movementsfor social organizations host a variety of events including coalition convenings salon dinners conferencesponsorshipsand otherstrategic gatherings.

How You Will Contribute

Serving as a strategic advisor to colleagues byunderstanding the strategy of Stand Together Trust Charles Koch Foundation and Stand Together Ventures Lab; buildingstrongrelationships with those teams; and providingexpertiseto ensure eventsadvancebusiness objectives

Owning the planning and execution of offsite events from start to finish includingstakeholder coordination budget development venuesourcing catering other logistical elements and on-site support

Acting as a liaison between colleagues and the HQ Events Teambyproviding audienceknowledge and businesscontextfor events hosted in our office

Partnering with the event host todetermineprogramming elements includingsession topicsand speakersas needed

Supportingother events across the Stand Together community as needed

Managing an inventory of event materials and swag

Staying current on industry best practices andidentifyingopportunities to continuously improve event planning processes

What You Will Bring

3-5 years of experience in event planning

Ability to understand organizational goals and develop event concepts to support them

Superior level of attention to detail and organizationalskill

Strong customer focus and an ability toanticipatecustomer needs

Self-starter who can jump into projects with a can-do attitude and see them through to completion

Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while communicating clearly and consistently with multiple stakeholders

Excellentverbal and written communications skills

Professionalismhumility andopenness to change andnew ideas

Ability to travelapproximately 10-15%

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
