QUALIFICATIONS:
- AcurrentrelevantprofessionalcertificationcredentialedbyanindependentaccreditationagencyforexampletheNSCACertifiedStrengthandConditioningcertification. Or related field experience.
- Currentstandardfirstaidcardiopulmonaryresuscitation(CPR)andautomatedexternal defibrillation(AED)certifications.
- Astrongworkingknowledgeandteachingskillsinanalysisandtechniquesofstrengthtraining.
- Experienceand/orexpertiseinstrengthandconditioningprogrammingforhighschoolpopulation
- Strongmotivationalabilities.
- Evidenceofabilitytointeractpositivelywithstudentathletescolleaguesandthepublic.
- Evidenceofstrongorganizationalskillsandeffectiveoralandwrittencommunicationskills.

JOB GOAL: Improve athletic performance reduce athletic injuries and teach lifelong fitness and movement skills.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities
1. Designandimplementstrengthtrainingandconditioningprogramsin-seasonoff-seasonand
pre-seasonforallschool-sanctionedmaleandfemaleathleticprogramsinamannerthat
reflectsresearch-drivenpracticesandourcountrysLong-TermAthletic/FitnessDevelopment
Model.
2. Workincooperationwiththesportsmedicineorathletictrainingstaffintherehabilitationand
strengtheningofinjuredathletes.
3. Facilitateacollaborativerelationshipamongsportcoachessportsmedicineandthestrength
andconditioningstaff.
4. Developsystemsfortrackingathleteattendanceandathleteprogressinconjunctionwiththe
sportcoaches.
5. Conductanannualneeds-analysisforeachsportteaminconjunctionwiththesportcoachand
theteamsathletictrainerattheconclusionofeachsportseason.
6. Annuallyconductandreviewadepartmentalemergency / riskmanagementplan.
7. Completeanannualbudgetaryproposalfortheprogramthatincludesroutinemaintenance
purchaseofnewequipmentandstaffingneeds.
8. Determineandreinforceexpectationsforathleteconductthatmirrortheschoolsexpectations
forcurricularandextra-curricularactivitiesasstatedintheschoolsStudentCodeofConduct.
9. Conductanannualevaluationofdepartmentalstaffincludingthedesignofprofessional
developmentactivities.
