Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location: Warrensville Heights OH
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit within a high-acuity hospital setting. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The RN will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Perform patient assessments documentation and care planning.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols safety standards and quality measures.
- Complete accurate documentation using designated systems.
Job Details:
- Shift: Night shift 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours (Auto Offer)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
- On-Call: Not required
- Holiday Requirement: Must work at least every other holiday
- Assessment Requirements: ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate (must pass during orientation)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Minimum 18 months PERMANENT Med/Surg Telemetry experience (non-negotiable)
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PBDS assessment waived
- Experience with telemetry monitoring strongly required
