Position: Developmental Service Worker - Summer Student (on-site)
Contract Length: 8 weeks.
Pay: $19/hour
Working hours: Monday Friday 9am -4pm
Responsibilities
**International students are not eligible participants.As the objective of the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market the temporary nature of an international students time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.

Responsibilities
- Assist and support individuals with meeting the activities of daily living including personal hygiene and life skills.
- Foster social interaction and inclusion among people supported encouraging participation and building confidence.
- Document attendance participation reactions and progress to ensure individualized care and support.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing data entry and organizing documents.
- Work in a position of trust with the people supported.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as and when required.

- Post-secondary education in any Human Services related program is required.
- Have the ability to work in a team or in an independent environment.
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Be between the ages of 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment.
- Meet all requirements set out under the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- An energetic compassionate person who enjoys working with the vulnerable population.
- Valid drivers license and access to vehicle.
- Must provide a complete and current (within threemonths) Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.
- The ability to engage in all aspects of Safe Management and valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
