You will be employed by ScreenPoint Medical Danish office and work in a team on cutting-edge foundation models for breast cancer recurrence while being mentored by a professor in Computer Science and AI at the University of Copenhagen.
This unique position bridges industry and academia: you will have access to ScreenPoints large-scale clinical breast imaging data and product expertise while benefiting from an academic research environment publication freedom and world-class scientific supervision.
You will be part of a highly motivated and interdisciplinary team of experts in breast imaging artificial intelligence and clinical research working in close collaboration with the Innovation team in Nijmegen and Copenhagen.
Your responsibilities
- Design and develop robust foundation and world models (e.g. vision transformers vision-language models LeJepa) tailored to breast imaging data.
- Apply and adapt foundation models to downstream tasks focused on breast cancer detection and risk in women with earlier diagnosed cancers.
- Collaborate closely with ScreenPoints AI Algorithm Lead and AI Research Engineers to ensure robust integration between foundation models MLOps infrastructure and downstream evaluation metrics.

- Proven research experience with foundation models and state-of-the-art deep learning methods (vision transformers vision-language models self-supervised learning).
- Publication track record.
- Experience in medical imaging or clinical AI research is strongly preferred.
- Ability to translate clinical or scientific questions into appropriate modeling approaches (e.g. classification risk prediction longitudinal modeling).
- Strong understanding of model evaluation calibration robustness and subgroup performance in real-world datasets.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch) and experience working in Linux-based environments and GPU clusters.
- Excellent written and spoken English and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred qualifications

- Experience with self-supervised or weakly supervised learning on large-scale datasets
- Prior publications in top-tier AI or medical imaging venues (NeurIPS ICCV MICCAI CVPR etc.).
What we offer:
- Two full-time postdoctoral positions based in Copenhagen Denmark with a hybrid working arrangement.
- Employment at ScreenPoint Medical with co-supervision from a professor in Computer Science and AI at the University of Copenhagen.
