Cakum Global is recruiting a Breeder Department Manager for our client based at a farmsite near Lae Papua New Guinea.
Role Overview: This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing large-scale breeder and grandparent farms ensuring high-quality hatching egg production optimal flock performance and alignment with industry standards.
Key Highlights
Lead and manage breeder operations across parent and grandparent stock
Oversee flock performance including placement feeding vaccination and grading
Drive biosecurity disease prevention and overall flock health management
Ensure production targets for chicks and hatching eggs are consistently achieved
Manage a large workforce of 200 staff across multiple farm operations
Coordinate closely with veterinarians hatcheries feed suppliers and support teams
Ideal Candidate
Degree in Animal Husbandry Veterinary Medicine or related field
Minimum 10 years experience in breeder or grandparent farm management
Strong leadership and team management capability
Solid understanding of flock performance biosecurity and production systems
Analytical organized and capable of managing large-scale farm operations
Comfortable working with reports data and farm management systems
