Job Summary
Cakum Global is recruiting a Breeder Department Manager for our client based at a farmsite near Lae Papua New Guinea.
Role Overview:
This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing large-scale breeder and grandparent farms ensuring high-quality hatching egg production optimal flock performance and alignment with industry standards.
Key Highlights
- Lead and manage breeder operations across parent and grandparent stock
- Oversee flock performance including placement feeding vaccination and grading
- Drive biosecurity disease prevention and overall flock health management
- Ensure production targets for chicks and hatching eggs are consistently achieved
- Manage a large workforce of 200 staff across multiple farm operations
- Coordinate closely with veterinarians hatcheries feed suppliers and support teams
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Animal Husbandry Veterinary Medicine or related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in breeder or grandparent farm management
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Solid understanding of flock performance biosecurity and production systems
- Analytical organized and capable of managing large-scale farm operations
- Comfortable working with reports data and farm management systems
