Lower School Art Teacher (K-5)

Pine Lake Prep a North Carolina A rated public charter school is seeking an engaging and creative Lower School Art Teacher (K-5) for the 2026-2027 school year. The Art Teacher must possess and demonstrate strong foundational skills in visual arts with experience in a variety of media and techniques. The candidate should be dynamic creative and organized with the ability to work in diverse teams.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Encourage and promote creativity self-expression and an appreciation for the visual arts
• Plan prepare and deliver developmentally appropriate art lessons using a variety of media and techniques to keep students engaged
• Teach fundamental art concepts including elements of art and principles of design
• Instruct students in the safe and appropriate use care and cleanup of art materials and tools
• Maintain records and communicate students progress and development
• Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes good behavior and adheres to PLPs Code of Conduct
• Display student artwork and contribute to school-wide exhibits or showcases
• Maintain organization of art supplies and materials

Desirable applicants will hold a B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching. The candidate will be required to uphold standards set by the NC Department of Public Instruction.
