Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures using ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality cardiac images. This role focuses on ensuring patient safety comfort and accurate imaging to support clinical diagnosis.
The ideal candidate will work closely with cardiologists and healthcare teams utilizing strong communication skills to explain procedures and coordinate patient care effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations as required
- Produce high-quality cardiac images for accurate clinical interpretation
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Clearly explain procedures and address patient questions
- Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology to support diagnosis
- Adhere to established imaging protocols and quality standards
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program (required)
- ARDMS registered or registry-eligible in Adult Echocardiography (required)
- Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience (preferred)
- Experience in a rural or critical access hospital setting (preferred)
- Additional imaging experience (abdominal OB/GYN breast or vascular) is a plus
Schedule
- Two day shifts per week
- No on-call requirement
- Flexible scheduling based on availability
Compensation
- $41.66 $69.63 per hour (based on experience)
