Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business toestablisha standalone orthopedics companyoperatingas DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation isanticipatedto be completed within 18 to24 months subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies as may be regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview

The Export Controls Analyst supports DePuy Synthes global trade compliance program by helping ensure that international shipments transactions and business activitiescomply withapplicable export control laws and regulations. This role plays a critical part in protecting the companys ability tooperateglobally by enabling compliant trade mitigating regulatory risk and supporting business continuity across manufacturing and supply chain operations. The position offers exposure to global regulations andcrossfunctionalcollaboration within a highly regulated medical technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supportdaytodayexport controls activities including screening classification and transaction reviews to ensure compliance with applicable export regulations.

• Assistwith export control classifications (e.g. ECCN determinations) for products technology and documentation.

• Review international shipment documentation and system transactions to confirm adherence to export control requirements.

• Maintainaccuraterecords and documentationin accordance withregulatory and company retention requirements.

• Monitor regulatory changes and support impact assessments todeterminepotential business implications.

• Partner with supply chainlogistics quality and legal teams to resolveexportrelatedquestions and issues.

• Support internal audits assessments and corrective actions related to export controls.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including process documentation metrics and training materials.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree(Business Supply Chain International Trade Law or a related field preferred).

Experience and Skills

Required:

• 24 years of relevant professional experience in export controls global trade compliance ora relatedregulatory/compliance function.

• Working knowledge of U.S. export control regulations (e.g. EAR) and global trade compliance concepts.

• Experience reviewing transactional data and documentation for regulatory compliance.

• Ability to work effectively in a regulatedprocessdrivenenvironment.

• Proficiencywith standard business systems and tools (e.g. ERP systems Microsoft Office).

Preferred:

• Experience supporting export controls within a manufacturing life sciences or medical device environment.

• Familiarity with global trade management or restricted party screening systems.

• Experienceparticipatingin audits or regulatory assessments.

• Understandinginternational supply chain andlogisticsprocesses.

• Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate compliance requirements clearly.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

• Travel: Minimal (generally <10%; domestic or international as needed).

• Certifications: Trade compliance or export controls certifications preferred but not.
