JOB SUMMARY

Kennedy Catholic is seeking a dynamic and self-directed educator to teach a full-time

combination of various Theology classes within the Theology Department. Key

responsibilities include instruction and curriculum development assessment classroom

management and parent communication; collaboration with colleagues to ensure quality

and consistency of overall program; willing participation in the co-curricular and

ministerial life of the school; mentorship for student engagement; and fulfillment of all

additional supervision duties expected of full-time teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in the specific content area (ex. Theology Religious Studies)

WA State Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one

Masters degree preferred

Familiarity with educational technology

Recent classroom experience preferably in a high school setting

An active Catholic in good standing with the Church

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess the skills and abilities to:

Teach a range of Theology classes

Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness

Create and implement authentic assessments (formative and summative)

appropriate to the health and physical education courses assigned

Use technology as a tool in the classroom

Work with a wide variety of high school students in a multicultural setting

Develop positive interpersonal relationships

Exhibit good organization and management skills

Meet individual student needs in the development of department goals and

restructuring of the curriculum

Collaborate with colleagues including team teaching and professional learning

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges

market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and

certifications. Salary is dependent upon experience certification and education

according to Kennedy Catholics faculty compensation schedule. For the 2026-2027

school year a teachers salary ranged between $59320 and $112590.
