Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team inDearborn MI. This role involves providing essential support and assistance to clients in their daily activities to enhance their quality of life and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing dressing grooming and hygiene.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients safely as needed.
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Accompany clients to appointments and social activities as required.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients health or behavior to the appropriate parties.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Requirements

• Prior experience in personal care or related field is an asset.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting with mobility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation is a plus.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with company policies.
