Job Title: Cardiology Echo Technician (Travel Assignment)

Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Echo Technician to perform high-quality echocardiographic studies in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves capturing detailed cardiac images supporting diagnostic procedures and ensuring accurate data collection for physician interpretation. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise clinical judgment and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain patient history and prepare patients for echocardiography procedures
- Perform diagnostic-quality echocardiograms including:
- 2D imaging
- M-Mode
- Pulse Wave and Continuous Wave Doppler
- Color Doppler
- Position patients appropriately and select optimal imaging techniques
- Provide preliminary findings for physician review
- Perform urgent and emergency echocardiographic studies as needed
- Assist physicians with specialized procedures including Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
- Maintain accurate documentation echo lab records and patient charges
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (e.g. ICAEL)
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) initiatives and accreditation activities
- Maintain clean and restock ultrasound equipment and procedure rooms
- Adapt imaging techniques based on patient condition and clinical needs
- Communicate effectively with patients physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Support a high standard of patient care and service excellence
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) ARDMS or
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) CCI - Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 12 years of echocardiography experience
- All certifications must be active and in good standing
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
