Front Sunday - Wednesday (Wednesday is the rotating 3-4-3 day)
Back Wednesday - Saturday (Wednesday is the rotating 3-4-3 day)
Summary
The Process Mechanic is responsible for maximizing equipment availability by performing safe and effective preventive and corrective maintenance. The role supports continuous operations (24/7) across manufacturing and support areas ensuring equipment reliability compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Perform repair and repetitive maintenance on valves centrifuges pumps autoclaves washers tanks and piping systems.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment uptime.
  • Maintain accurate detail-oriented documentation to support Right-First-Time operations.
  • Escalate process issues promptly to ensure timely resolution.
  • Comply with cGMP SOPs and manufacturing documentation standards.
  • Complete work orders and tasks on time with proper documentation.
  • Safely operate tools shop equipment and perform fieldwork.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing Quality Engineering and other teams.
  • Support system start-up and validation activities.
  • Collect and organize technical data from vendors users and engineering teams.
  • Assist in identifying purchasing and organizing spare parts.
  • Train other mechanics (group and individual training).
  • Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID).
  • Review and suggest improvements to SOPs (redlining where needed).
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Perform confined space entry and work at heights when required.
  • Rebuild pumps valves bearings and mechanical seals.
  • Conduct safety inspections (rigging fall protection equipment).
  • Provide contractor oversight vendor coordination and project support.
  • Respond to maintenance discrepancies in a 24/7 operational environment.
Required Skills
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • 5 6 years of relevant industrial/process maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance systems.
  • Proficiency in documentation and adherence to compliance standards (cGMP SOPs).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (P&ID).
  • Basic computer skills (CMMS intranet systems MS Word/Excel).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with reasonable accommodation).
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
