We are hiring an experienced Radiology Specialist Assistant for a 13-week travel assignment at a well-established healthcare facility in Watertown New York.
Assignment Details
Location: Watertown NY 13601
Duration: 13 weeks (May 25 August 22 2026)
Shift: 8-hour Days (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
On-call: None
Local candidates: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule applies)

Key Responsibilities
Provide patient care and medical services in Interventional Radiology under physician supervision.
Perform advanced procedures including fluoroscopic studiesjoint injectionsparacentesis and thoracentesis.
Assist with abscess drain placement and bone marrow biopsies using ultrasound or CT guidance.
Conduct ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies including marker clip placement.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage clinical workload maintain procedure rooms and document patient outcomes accurately.
Educate patients on procedures and ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Requirements
Education: Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the NYS Education Department; Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
Certification: Current ARRT certification in Radiography is required.
Advanced Certification: Certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a radiology focus is preferred.
Life Support: Active BLS certification required; ACLS is preferred.
Skills: Expertise in imaging guidance (Ultrasound/CT) for biopsies and drainages.
