Key Responsibilities -
Provide patient care and medical services in Interventional Radiology under physician supervision.

Perform advanced procedures including fluoroscopic studies joint injections paracentesis and thoracentesis.

Assist with abscess drain placement and bone marrow biopsies using ultrasound or CT guidance.
-
Conduct ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies including marker clip placement.
-
Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage clinical workload maintain procedure rooms and document patient outcomes accurately.

Educate patients on procedures and ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control protocols.
Requirements -
Education: Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the NYS Education Department; Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.

Certification: Current ARRT certification in Radiography is required.

Advanced Certification: Certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a radiology focus is preferred.

Life Support: Active BLS certification required; ACLS is preferred.

Skills: Expertise in imaging guidance (Ultrasound/CT) for biopsies and drainages.
