Radiology Specialist Assistant Allied

We are hiring an experienced Radiology Specialist Assistant for a 13-week travel assignment at a well-established healthcare facility in Watertown New York.

• Location: Watertown NY 13601

• Duration: 13 weeks (May 25 August 22 2026)

• Shift: 8-hour Days (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)

• Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed

• On-call: None

• Local candidates: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule applies)

• Provide patient care and medical services in Interventional Radiology under physician supervision.

• Perform advanced procedures including fluoroscopic studies joint injections paracentesis and thoracentesis.

• Assist with abscess drain placement and bone marrow biopsies using ultrasound or CT guidance.

• Conduct ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies including marker clip placement.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage clinical workload maintain procedure rooms and document patient outcomes accurately.

• Educate patients on procedures and ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control protocols.

• Education: Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the NYS Education Department; Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.

• Certification: Current ARRT certification in Radiography is required.

• Advanced Certification: Certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a radiology focus is preferred.

• Life Support: Active BLS certification required; ACLS is preferred.

• Skills: Expertise in imaging guidance (Ultrasound/CT) for biopsies and drainages.
