St. Josephs Academy seeks dynamic part-time tutors to support high school students through both subject-specific tutoring and broader academic coaching.
Role Overview:
Tutors in the Learning Center provide targeted support in Math Science or English/Writing while also assisting students with organization study skills time management and overall academic success across all subject areas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy mentoring students and helping them build confidence and independence in their learning.
Responsibilities:
Approximately 15 hours per week primarily during lunch periods and after school

- Provide individualized and small-group tutoring in Math Science or English/Writing
- Offer academic coaching support across all subject areas (study strategies organization time management test preparation)
- Collaborate with academic departments to coordinate content-specific review sessions
- Support students during lunch periods and after school in the Learning Center
- Foster a positive encouraging environment that promotes student growth and accountability
- Strong knowledge of secondary-level coursework in Math Science or English/Writing
- Ability to clearly explain concepts and engage effectively with high school students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Interest in mentoring and supporting student success beyond content tutoring
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- A bachelors degree is not required
