Position: Business Specialist Supervisor: Business Manager and Finance Director Work Schedule: Contract Days: 249 Contract Hours: 8 hours/day Non-Exempt Qualifications: High school diploma; additional account experience preferred. Strong communication skills with solid mathematical aptitude and attention to detail. Proficient in operating standard office equipment including PCs and related systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and financial software applications. Demonstrated ability to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Skilled in interacting courteously and tactfully with staff and the public. Proven ability to exercise initiative independent judgment and discretion. Committed to maintaining strict confidentiality Physical Requirements: Sitting standing lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.) reaching squatting kneeling. Performance Responsibilities: Collect hours worked data for all district employees Maintain employee cumulative time information Verify and post employee leave entries Management of employee benefits Compile data for managing Affordable Care Act eligibility and reporting requirements Maintain Time and Effort Reporting documents and reports Receipt money received in the Business Office Upload maintain and monitor monthly request for reimbursements (RFRs) Communicate with locations to verify information submitted to Business Office when needed Clerical duties: filing faxing copying etc. Daily mail/bank runs for Business Office Will cross train with other positions in Business Office as time allows Other duties as assigned.
