The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is$75461 to $116035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.

As a Middle School Learning Strategist & Counsellor you will become a key member of a dynamic Learning Strategist team working closely with a dedicated three-person counselling team.

Youll support Middle School students in developing essential executive functioning and social-emotional skills while also having opportunities to work with Junior School students in a counselling capacity. Your work will help shape confident capable learners ready to navigate both school and life.


What Youll Do

  • Collaborate with the Learning Strategies team to support diverse learners
  • Teach and strengthen executive functioning skills like organisation planning and goal-setting
  • Design and facilitate engaging social skills groups
  • Provide one-on-one and small group counselling support
  • Partner with teachers parents and specialists to support student growth
  • Deliver workshops and presentations for students and staff
  • Contribute to student learning plans and well-being strategies
  • Connect families with community resources and support services
  • Participate in a collaborative counselling team focused on student wellness


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Education
  • Valid British Columbia teaching certification
  • Masters degree in School Counselling and/or Counselling Psychology
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in multicultural and diverse school environments
  • Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence leading group sessions and workshops
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
