Job Description:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Emergency Department team on a travel contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience excellent clinical judgment and the ability to perform effectively in high-stress emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
- Rapidly assess stabilize and manage patients with life-threatening conditions
- Administer medications IV therapy and perform phlebotomy as required
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and intervene in critical situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient care planning
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities when required
- Ensure patient safety and follow all clinical protocols and standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Required Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
- Minimum 1 year Emergency Department experience (travel experience required)
- Proficiency with MEDITECH EMR system (required)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations
- Strong critical thinking leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function effectively in high-pressure environments
