Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Gastroenterology (NWWI)

Job Summary
The selected candidate would join an established group of 7 General Gastroenterologists 1 Advanced Endoscopist and 6 APPs in providing gastroenterology services in the NWWI Region. The NWWI Gastroenterology division is in a state of growth not only in size geographic patient care and services.
The Gastroenterology NP/PA will provide support to the growing practice by seeing patients primarily in the inpatient hospital independently in the Eau Claire location as well as could be seeing occasional patients in the outpatient clinic.
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work closely with physicians and various allied health staff on a multi-disciplinary team by providing comprehensive assessments ordering conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests formulating a diagnostic impression developing and implementing a treatment plan monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and prescription of pharmacological agents and non-pharmacological therapies.

Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP ANP or ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
- Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
- Prior GI family practice gerontology or other APP experiences but we would consider new hires.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex patient populations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
