The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for adesignated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

TheMt. Laurel and Willingborolocations are only outpatient unitswhereastheSpecial Test Unit (STU)locatedon the sixth floor in the mainhospitalis an outpatient and inpatient unit. All are run by thehospital largelyto servediagnosticand therapeutic needs of the Gastroenterology Division.
The most common gastroenterology procedures are upperendoscopy and the pulmonary suite (STU only)endoscopy of the airway procedures is performed andarecommonly called bronchoscopy.
All units are staffed by surgical schedulers patient service representatives nurses and GI technicians. Anesthesiology is present for all GI rotate between the admission (Pre op) procedure suites recovery (PACU)andpre-admission testing. They must be familiar with all roles andproceduresin the GI Unit.
- Require 2 Years Acute Care Experience; GI or Pre/Post Preferred
- Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current NJ-BLSCertification(Basic Life Support)
- 3 shifts per 6 weeks: 2 Saturdays and 1 additional shift required
- 7-330P or 730-4P
