Job Duties
To direct and develop the clinical and administrative operations of Acute Admissions Services according to certification/accreditation guidelines. All services are provided according to the needs and preferences of adult individuals taking into account age and diagnoses-specific issues. This position is also responsible for coordinating the performance improvement services of the unit.
Minimum Qualifications
*Registration as a dietitian by the Commission of the American Dietetic Association (or eligible)
*Graduation from a 4-year accredited college or university with major course works in nutrition B.S. degree in Nutrition
* Extensive experience as a clinical dietitian in acute psychiatric and long-term care supervisory experience in an institutional food service system required.
Additional Considerations
* If not a Registered Dietitian scope of practice may be limited and must refer patients to other dietetic professionals when a situation is beyond their level of competence.
