About the Role
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient-centred haematology services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive clinical haematology services including diagnosis and management of benign and malignant blood disorders
Participate in laboratory haematology services including morphology and transfusion medicine
Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical governance activities
Supervise and support junior medical staff and allied health professionals
Engage in teaching training audit and research activities
Ensure compliance with national standards clinical guidelines and HSE policies
Job requirements
Applicants must have:
Specialist registration in the Division of Haematology of the Irish Medical Council or be eligible for registration
Significant experience in clinical and laboratory haematology
Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and clinical excellence
Excellent communication leadership and organisational skills
Desirable Criteria
Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland or equivalent
Experience in subspecialty areas (e.g. haemato-oncology coagulation disorders)
Proven involvement in research or quality improvement initiatives
