Position Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support clinical operations and assist dentists during patient examinations and procedures. This role is essential in ensuring efficient workflow maintaining patient comfort and upholding high standards of infection control.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations treatments and procedures
Prepare and organize dental instruments materials and equipment
Seat and prepare patients adjusting chairs and equipment as needed
Provide chairside assistance during procedures including oral surgery and extractions
Operate suction equipment to maintain a clear working area
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
Assist with dental X-rays if required
Mix dental materials such as amalgam and fillings as directed
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Support overall clinic operations and patient care activities
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant (required)
Prior experience assisting with oral surgery (preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (required)
Certifications (Preferred/As Required)
BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA or Red Cross
Skills & Competencies
Strong chairside assisting and clinical support skills
Knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices
Ability to assist in oral surgical procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
