Position Title: Maintenance E&I InternOglethorpe GAPay Rate: Starting rate of $21.24 per hour Category/Shift: Hourly Part-Time/Full-TimeAbout The Role:Global Cellulose Fibers a major pulp and paper producer is seeking its next generation of Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians. Our Flint River Mill is looking to bring on hourly maintenance E&I part/full-time interns to assist IEs in routine maintenance work including but not limited to electrical circuit troubleshooting & repair conduit & wire installation lighting repair PLC troubleshooting & repair drive troubleshooting & repair Instrumentation & control valve calibration troubleshooting & repair and HVAC ExpectationsEnsure an understanding of quality policy and support efforts for a positive customer experience. Aid in the execution of mill-wide quality efforts as needed to help maintain mill quality You: Knowledge Skills and Abilities Must be currently 18 years of age or olderEligible for employment in the School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experienceBasic computer skillsAble to function in a team meet one of the following: Currently enrolled in vocational/technical education in the Instrumentation/Electrical Disciplines: Instrumentation Electrical or HVAC with an expected education completion date of December 2026 (or prior). Recently completed vocational/technical education in the Instrumentation/Electrical Disciplines: Instrumentation Electrical or be willing to meet the following requirements:Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employmentSubmit to periodic drug screens as a condition of any shift that aligns with class scheduleWork overtime on a regular basis and with last-minute notificationWork holidays and/or weekends if required safety equipmentOperate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot dusty/dirty around hazardous chemicals noise heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection)About Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF):Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products.
