Job Description

Job OverviewThe Construction Specialist III is primarily field-based (approximately 90%) and is responsible for overseeing the quality safety and execution of overhead and underground construction projects. This role coordinates closely with contractors field teams and regional technical stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in compliance with all required standards and timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction & Field Operations

• Ensure execution of overhead and underground construction activities including:
  • Placement of hard-line connectivity and platforms
  • Frame and strand pole installation
  • Transfer of facilities between poles
  • Placement of connectivity and platforms in joint trenches
• Ensure safe operation of construction vehicles and trailers.
• Verify that new or upgraded power supplies are installed and fully operational prior to scheduled cut dates.
• Maintain overall accountability for the quality of the NGAN product from construction through operational handoff.
• Spend approximately 90% of time working in the field.

Project Coordination & Documentation

• Investigate and maintain accurate project records including:
  • Project start dates and milestones
  • Production logs
  • Material costs
  • Labor expenditures
• Generate logs and reports related to construction activities materials projects and expenses.
• Update JT or Polaris entries (job documents/maps) and perform quality control for path verification.

Safety & Compliance

• Instruct and enforce job site safety standards.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Participate in and support routine safety meetings.
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds local state and federal regulations as well as internal standards.

Team Leadership & Support

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of technical business support or production staff.
• Support specialists and leadership teams with project coordination.
• Set team priorities assign tasks and review work progress regularly.
• Monitor construction crew performance against established goals and objectives.
• Act as the primary day-to-day contractor interface in the field.
• Serve as a liaison between field contractors and regional network technicians.

Customer & Stakeholder Support

• Review resolve and follow up on customer requests and complaints.
• Ensure effective communication and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
