Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of the payroll system the time and attendance system and payroll reports. Reconciles university payroll accounts.
  • Assists in the processing of tax forms and direct deposits.
  • Reviews payroll requests for accuracy and for previous payment.
  • Processes vacation and sick leave balance adjustments and benefit overrides.
  • Processes ACH reversals and stop payments when needed.
  • Process on demand checks and garnishments.
  • Assists in the review and processing of various payroll deductions.
  • Assists in clearing errors during payroll runs.
  • Assists with the daily processing for bi-weekly and monthly pay cycles.
  • Prepares monthly deduction and premium payments via wires or checks.
  • May run and review queries.
  • Prepares monthly statistical reports.
  • Answers timekeepers questions regarding the Kronos time and attendance system.
  • Answers incoming phone calls emails and questions from employees and visitors.
  • Handles special projects as requested.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of payroll or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Kronos is preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
