Recreation Program Assistant Supervisor-Seasonal 2026
Staunton Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for Camp Staunton summer staff and site assistant supervisor. The assistant supervisor will work full-time at 40 hours per week for Camp Staunton from May 26 to July 24 2026. Individual will help supervise camp staff and children ages 8-12 years old at the Gymnasium camp site. Assistant Supervisor helps lead site staff collaborate with the Site Supervisor and Camp Coordinator assists with planning/administering activities at their camp site communicate with parent/guardians and documents activities and incidents. Previous experience working with children in the supervision of activities highly desired. Knowledge of child growth and development and/or child-related subject areas preferred and ability to apply program policies and procedures required. Individual must be able to pass applicable background checks and are expected to participate in physical activities with children make decisions for the safety and wellbeing of participants and have excellent communication skills. Experience and knowledge of Staunton Parks & Rec programming and events is a hourly pay: $15.96/hr. This position is open until filled.
