Surgery Coordinator Orthopedics

TRIA is looking to hire a Surgery Coordinator to join our orthopedic team!Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

Provides administrative support to surgeons by scheduling patient surgeries and performing other administrative tasks that support our patients. Returns calls in a timely manner and ensures that each encounter provides an over-the-top experience. Independently completes tasks but also works closely with their care team in the clinic setting.

Secures necessary patient information relating to the scheduling and/or processing of surgical procedures. Schedules surgeries and performs required procedures including documentation. Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations. Coordinates information provided for business services functions including CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding.

Work Schedule:

Full Time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • 2 or more years related experience in a health care environment.
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • NA
• Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Medical terminology and CPT-4 coding knowledge required.
  • The incumbent must be able to proficiently operate the following: Typewriter or Word Processor CRT Printer Telephone Photocopier Fax Machine and 10-key Calculator.

  • Detail oriented individual with strong human relation and organizational skills.
