Assistant Conferencing and Banqueting Manager in Castlemartyr Resort

We are currently inviting applications for an Assistant Conferencing and Banqueting Manager to join Castlemartyr Resort

Supported by our HODs the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Conferencing and Banqueting operation in the resort.

Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:

• A minimum of 3 years food and beverage managerial experience in events bars and restaurants
• Previous experience in delivering excellent food and beverage service.
• Proven history of executing and delivering events
• Knowledge of Volante system is an advantage but not essential and as we offer training

Personal Qualities

• Ability to show a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
• Be self-motivated being able to work alone with good personal organization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail organisational negotiation and communication skills are a must including fluent spoken and written English.

Duties include but are not exclusive to:

• Managing payroll costs of Conferencing and Banqueting in the Resort
• To organise the efficient operation of all Conferencing and Banqueting in the hotel.
• Maximize revenue by effective management of the Hotels operations across the food and beverage outlets and working with the sales and marketing team for Conferencing and Banqueting
• Completing and posting event folios post event to ensure billing correct and liaison with front of house collaboration
• Staff communication / Briefing
• Furthering own and teams learning and development
• Ensuring compliance with Haccp / health & safety policies
• Be a visible strong presence across the food and beverage outlets mobilizing and providing direction including duty management when required
