Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring Assistant Director of Nursing for a leading Nursing home in Dublin Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership inspiration and oversight to maintain high levels of care.
  • Provide effective clinical and professional leadership that exhibits beliefs and behaviours consistent with the Care Group ethos and serve as a role model for all nursing home personnel.
  • Provide line management and development for clinical nursing teams care teams and individuals as needed within the Care Group.
  • Support care delivery by engaging patients and staff providing clinical supervision and holding oneself and others accountable for care delivery in nursing homes.
  • Create unique techniques to advise and coach nursing/teams in developing and enhancing leadership skills in order to fulfil their roles and provide succession planning.
  • When necessary act in place of the Director of Nursing.
  • Assist and be a catalyst in determining service needs and strategies in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and Management.
  • Ensure that resources are used efficiently and appropriately.


Requirements
  • NMBI Registered Nurse with managerial experience in elder care settings.
  • After registration obtain a management qualification in health or a related sector.
  • A thorough understanding of HIQA standards rules and governance in a nursing home environment
  • Proven track record in management.
  • Excellent leadership organisation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to foster a team atmosphere.
  • Effective decision-making skills and a focus on results.
  • Willingness to be adaptable and responsive to the needs of the firm.
  • A background in gerontology and/or dementia would be preferred.
