Senior Data Consultant Remote Colombia

We are looking for a Senior Data Consultant (Azure-to-GCP Migration) to join the IT Data team. This role is designed for a technical expert who bridges the gap between deep data engineering and strategic project leadership.

You will work directly with the IT Data Lead to drive the modernization of their data landscape with a primary focus on a critical migration from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As an extension of the US leadership team you will act as a multiplier possessing the technical depth to execute complex data migrations while maintaining the business acumen to operate as both a Business Analyst and Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Migration

• Lead the technical execution of migrating data pipelines warehouses and architecture from Azure to GCP.

Architecture & Development

• Build and optimize robust data pipelines using SQL and Python.

Business Intelligence

• Design and implement high-impact Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights for pharmaceutical commercial and clinical operations.

Hybrid Project Leadership

• Function as a Project Manager/Business Analyst to gather requirements from stakeholders define project scopes and ensure delivery timelines are met.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Interface with the US-based internal team (Tech Lead BSA and Commercial Product Owner) and coordinate with an external offshore resource hub of 10 consultants.

Qualifications :

Domain Expertise

• 7 years experience in the role 
• Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry is essential for understanding specific data compliance and commercial requirements.

Technical Stack Mastery

• Languages: Expert-level SQL and Python (Non-negotiable).
• Cloud: Proven experience with both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Visualization: Advanced proficiency in Power BI.

Execution & Project Management

• Demonstrated experience in senior Data Engineering roles.
• Proven track record in Project Management or Business Analysis specifically leading cloud migration initiatives.

Communication

• Advanced english
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language for the Commercial Product Owner and other non-technical stakeholders.
