Job Title: Healthcare Data Entry Specialist
Location: Suffern NY
Shift: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
Duration: 27 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately entering verifying and managing data within internal systems or tracking databases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately read source documents and input data into designated systems or databases.
- Data Verification: Collect compile sort and verify data for accuracy and completeness before entering it into the system.
- Error Correction: Review and correct data entry errors or report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Digital Record Management: Scan upload and maintain digital records and documents.
- Log Maintenance: Maintain logs of completed work and daily activities.
- Document Filing & Organization: File and organize documents or distribute them as required.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform routine administrative duties such as answering phones and managing office or lab supplies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with data integrity standards and confidentiality requirements (including HIPAA).
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 01 year of data entry or administrative experience.
- Typing Speed: At least 45 words per minute.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy good organizational and time management skills.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Google Workspace etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
- Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records handling.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
