Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper Elementary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging classroom environment deliver high-quality instruction aligned to standards and support the academic and social-emotional growth of students in grades 35.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction in core subjects (ELA Math Science and Social Studies)
- Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum
- Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
- Create a positive inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with students families and colleagues
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and participate in professional learning communities
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning
- Support students social-emotional development and model positive behavior
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification/licensure for elementary education
- Experience teaching upper elementary grades preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion in education
Preferred Skills
- Experience with differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
- Knowledge of educational technology tools and platforms
