This is a hands-on Payroll Officer role where yourexpertisewill ensure theaccurateandtimelydelivery of payroll for a large and diverse workforce of over 700 employees. You will play a critical role in supporting employee confidence and trust by delivering a compliant customer-focused payroll service aligned with Awardslegislationand Council policies. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced high-volume environment and enjoys being the go-to payroll expert.
You will make an impact by
- Delivering end-to-end payroll processing for a non-negotiable fortnightly pay run supporting full-timepart-timeand casual employees
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and compliantly in line with Awards Enterprise Agreementlegislationand internal policies
- Maintaining HRIS integrity throughaccuratedata entry approvalsreportingand system security
- Providing responsiveaccurateand customer-focused payroll advice to employees and external stakeholders
- Contributing to service improvement initiatives projects and system enhancements to improve employee experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation with at least 600 employees
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation PAYG superannuationleaveand salary administration
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities meet deadlines andmaintainexceptional attention to detail
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems (Aurion experience highly regarded) and strong MS Office skills
- Excellent communication skills with a professionalapproachableand service-oriented mindset
- High levelof accuracy discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
- A proactive adaptable approach with the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
