Job Summary
Senior Manager Autoliv Production System (APS)
The APS Senior Manager will support strategic deployment and continuous improvement of the Autoliv Production System (APS) across manufacturing sites in the Americas. Reporting to the APS Director this role helps drive operational excellence waste elimination and cultural transformation by supporting sites on their APS maturity journey.
What youll do:
APS Strategy & Deployment
Support the execution of the regional APS roadmap in alignment with corporate goals.
Assist in planning and leading APS improvement workshops (kaizen VSM Hoshin Kanri).
Promote core APS principles such as JIT jidoka standardized work heijunka etc.
Track site-level progress and escalate barriers when needed.
Lead initiatives to improve OEE lay out improvement reduce waste optimize throughput and enhance plant efficiency.
Operational Excellence
Partner with plant leadership to integrate APS into daily operations.
Establish regional KPIs and executive dashboards to monitor operational performance.
Drive continuous improvement in SQDCM metrics through APS methodologies.
Facilitate cross-site sharing of best practices and improvement successes.
Ensure governance structure for project prioritization and value tracking.
Leadership & Culture
Coach and develop APS capability at all levels including supervisors and engineers.
Foster a culture of problem-solving respect and continuous learning.
Act as a change agent by promoting APS behaviors and overcoming resistance.
Mentor site teams to independently lead APS initiatives.
Promote a high-performance culture centered on accountability innovation and data-driven decision-making.
Act as a transformation leader influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
Global & Regional Collaboration
Collaborate with APS leaders across regions to harmonize tools and methodologies.
Share local learnings with the global APS community.
Support cross-border improvement initiatives as required
What is required:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations or related field required
10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations (at least 5 in a Managerial role)
Proven experience implementing lean production systems (certified preferred)
Multi-site or multi-country operations experience highly desirable
Multi-site or multi-country operations experience highly desirable
Direct experience with Jidoka JIT Kaizen 5S Kanban SMED VSM etc.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred
Demonstrated leadership coaching and cross-cultural collaboration skills
Strategic thinking and business acumen
English required
