Role: Data Operating Model consultant - Contract role
Consulting Seniority: Consultant - Manager
Day rate: 400-700 Outisde IR35
Project duration: 3 months starting asap (extension likely)
Location: 3 days per week in London 1-2 days remote
Were supporting a consultancy that specialises in business and digital transformation known for fostering strong relationships while designing and delivering large-scale complex transformations throughout the UK.
Theyre looking for a data-focused consultant to support the design and delivery of a target data operating model. The role will focus on shaping data architecture defining key requirements and ensuring readiness across core data initiatives within a Microsoft-enabled environment.

Tasks
- Define and document business requirements for a Group Data Lake aligning to wider data strategy and use cases
- Map current-state (as-is) data flows and support the design of future-state data operating models
- Establish UAT data readiness criteria ensuring data quality governance and usability for downstream consumption
Requirements
- An independent consultant
- Proven experience delivering data operating model initiatives within complex organisations
- Strong expertise in defining Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and supporting data governance frameworks
- Nice to have: Experience supporting Microsoft platform enablement (e.g. Azure data services) and associated roadmap development
