Job Summary

Remote NATO Project Contract

We are supporting a NATO programme focused on the future of secure communications 5G/6G technologies and next-generation military networks.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer or Architect who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to analyse emerging technologies develop architecture frameworks and advise senior stakeholders.

This is a highly visible consulting assignment supporting NATOs Multinational Collaboration of 5G (MN5G) initiative.

What You Will Do
  • Support the development of Next Generation Network (NGN) architectures

  • Evaluate current and emerging 5G and 6G technologies for military applications

  • Develop technical studies white papers and architecture artefacts

  • Analyse secure communications concepts and network architectures

  • Conduct readiness assessments and technology maturity evaluations

  • Review Network Management and Cyber Defence concepts

  • Present findings and recommendations to NATO stakeholders

  • Contribute to future communication strategies and capability development

What We Are Looking For
  • 10 years of experience in communications systems network architecture or telecommunications engineering

  • Strong expertise in 5G mobile communications or next-generation networking

  • Experience designing large-scale communication and information systems

  • Strong understanding of security architecture and secure communications

  • Experience with enterprise architecture or capability architecture

  • Experience preparing technical reports studies and architecture documentation

  • Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently in a highly specialised consulting role

Highly Desirable
  • Military defence government or critical infrastructure experience

  • Experience with NATO or multinational programmes

  • Knowledge of readiness assessments technology maturity models or capability development frameworks

  • Experience with deployable communications systems

  • Understanding of cloud virtualization monitoring and interoperability frameworks

Security Requirements
