- Each newly identified vulnerability requires in depth security analysis to determine exploitability asset impact and severity across cloud workstation and network environments.
- Accurate remediation guidance requires time intensive research and evidence collection including vendor validation patch verification and compensating controls.
- Limited business hours coverage creates analysis backlogs delaying remediation actions and extending the window of attacker opportunity for high risk vulnerabilities.
- IT teams frequently remediate during overnight and weekend maintenance windows when Vulnerability Management security expertise is needed to ensure fixes are correct timely and risk appropriate.
